School will close on Friday, 5 December at 11:00 and reopen on Wednesday, 21 January 2009.

2. PRESTIGE EVENINGS/PRESTIGEAANDE – DISCIPLINE/DISSIPLINE
Our Prestige Evenings are very formal occasions. For this reason, we ask that your children are kept under strict supervision at these gatherings. Children who are not prize-winners and are attending the Sport and Cultural Prestige Evenings with their parents, must remain seated with them. They may not sit on the floor in the front of the hall or walk around during the proceedings. We politely request that guests refrain from leaving the function before the evening has officially ended. Please park outside the school – security guards will be on duty. Thank you for your co-operation in this regard.
Ons Prestige-aande is baie formele geleenthede. Ons vra dat ouers streng dissipline sal toepas gedurende hierdie aande. Enige kind wat die Sport- en Kultuurprestigeaande bywoon en nie ‘n pryswenner is nie, moet by hul ouers sit. Geen kind mag voor in die saal op die vloer sit of gedurende die verrigtinge rondloop nie. Ons rig ‘n vriendelike versoek dat gaste nie die saal verlaat voordat alle verrigtinge afgesluit is nie. Parkeer asseblief buite die skool – sekuriteitswagte sal aan diens wees. Dankie vir u samewerking in hierdie verband.
3. FROM THE OFFICE – CLASS DIVISIONS FOR 2009 / UIT DIE KANTOOR – KLASINDELING 2009
This year we have decided to inform the learners who their teacher will be for 2009. There is, however, ONE CONDITION. No parent must contact the school regarding the chosen placements, please. Many factors are taken into consideration when we place a group of children with a specific teacher. We trust that this new initiative will satisfy most of our parents.
Vanjaar gaan ons afwyk van die bestaande prosedure en ons gaan die leerders reeds in 2008 inlig in wie se klas hulle aanstaande jaar sal wees. Hierdie reëling is onderhewig aan EEN VOORWAARDE. Geen ouer mag die skool kontak in verband met die plasing van leerders nie. Plasing van leerders in ‘n groep of by ‘n spesifieke leerkrag word met groot omsigtigheid gedoen. Ons vertrou dat hierdie reëling by die meeste ouers byval sal vind.

7. EARLY MORNING CARE: 2009 - (06:30 – 07:30)
From 21 January 2009, Early Morning Care will be in the Junior Computer Room of the school, situated 3rd door on your left at the main entrance of the school building.

15. SCHOOL LEAVERS / SKOOLVERLATERS
We request all parents, whose children (Gr 1–6) are leaving Kenridge Primary School at the end of 2008 to give written notice to the school. We need to cancel or adjust any debit orders and arrange for the transfer forms.

Nico Pretorius achieved distinctions in both the Trinity College, London, and the ALMSA Keyboard practical examinations (Grade 2).
Ballroom/Latin Dancing
Ashley May received 4x 1st places, 1x 2nd place, 3x 3rd places, a 4th place and 78% for a group Hip Hop/Latin Medley in a Ballroom/Latin Dancing Championship that was recently held.

18. FOUNDATION PHASE CONCERT 2009
Calling any mums who have stage/dancing/choreography experience and who are willing to give up time during the school day to be involved with this production in 2009. 19. LYNNÉ SCHOEMAN PRESTEER WEER IN DIE LIONS PEACE POSTER KOMPETISIE!
Vir die tweede agtereenvolgende jaar het die Durbanville Lions Klub se inskrywing die nasionale kompetisie gewen. Dié eer het weer ‘n Kenridge leerder te beurt geval, en vir die tweede agtereenvolgende jaar was die wenner Lynné Schoeman, ‘n Gr. 7 leerder.
