OUER INLIGTING
- A4 plastieksakkielêers (flip-files) sal vir Wiskunde, Rekenaarstudie, Kultuur en sekere algemene werk gebruik word. Alle ander werk sal in gewone oefeningboeke gedoen word. Trek asseblief die oefeningboeke met BRUIN PAPIER oor en nie met versierde of gekleurde papier nie.
- Matriks en kontrolelys - leerders weet wat van hulle verwag word.
- Deurlopende assessering – alle punte word bereken vir die rapport.
- Alle assesserings sal in die klas gedoen word. Dit sal dus tot u kind se voordeel wees as u hulp verleen met die huiswerk.
- U is aangemoedig om u kind by die plaaslike biblioteek te laat aansluit. Alhoewel ons skoolbiblioteek se inligtingsbronne groot is, is dit egter beperk. Indien daar ‘n projek of mondeling vir al die graad 4 leerders is, sal daar nie genoeg inligtingsbronne in ons biblioteek beskikbaar wees nie. U kind sal daarby baat vind indien hy/sy alternatiewe bronne buite die skool kan gebruik vir naslaanwerk.
- Lees vir huiswerk – leerders moet ten minste 30 min. elke aand lees.
- Huiswerkboeke moet daagliks deur ‘n ouer geteken word.
- Onvoltooide werk word huis-toe gestuur.
- Huiswerkboek is kommunikasie tussen ouers en onderwyser.
- Geld moet in ‘n verseëlde, gemerkte koevert skool-toe gestuur word.
- Eie skryfbehoeftes. Merk asb. alles.
- Liggaamlike Opvoeding: sportskoene moet oorwegend wit wees, met min of geen donker kleure.
- Gesonde pouse kos en minder snoepie.
- Huiswerk moet self ingehaal word as leerder siek is, of by musiek was.

PARENT INFORMATION
- Flipfiles to be used for IT, Maths tests, Culture and General. All other work will be done in exercise books. Please cover in brown paper, not decorative paper.
- Rubrics and check lists - learners will be informed as to what is expected from them.
- Continuous assessment - a variety of marks and assessments are used for the report.
- All assessments will be done in class, therefore parents should help their learners with homework tasks at home.
- Orals - use the given rubric as a guide. Parents may help with the preparation. You are encouraged to sign your child up at your local library, please, because the school’s resources, although large, are limited. When there is an oral or project to be done by all g4 learners, then there won’t be enough resources for each learner. Your child will be at an advantage if he/she is able to source information outside the school.
- Reading for homework - Learners must read for at least 30 minutes every day. 10 of those minutes must be read out loud to a parent.
- Homework books - must be signed daily by a parent.
- Homework book is the main medium of communication.
- Incomplete work will be sent home to be completed.
- If your child is absent or at music they must catch up in their own time.
- Money must always be sent in a sealed, marked envelope.
- Must have own stationery which must be marked. Please check regularly that your child has everything.
- Phys Ed: Takkies must be predominantly WHITE, with very LITTLE or NO dark colours.
- Healthy lunchbox and use the tuckshop as a treat.
