Welcome to Grade 7. We are looking forward to a year of not only hard work, but one where we shall work together with you, to nurture and develop your child into the best he/she can be. It is a year where we are going to learn to think with the heart.
To avoid any misunderstandings and pre-conceived ideas, we would like to draw your attention to the following before the parent information evening, which is on Monday, 18 January, at 19:00 in the school hall. After a general discussion in the hall, parents will go to their children’s register classes.

Digital Yearbook:
We are proud to announce that there will be a video yearbook which will consist of a Video Production of every term throughout 2010. We are filming the following events: Drum Café, Camp, Entrepreneur’s Day and the Grade 7 Concert (subject to change). A 30-45 sec clip of every video production will be made available on the school’s website. This will be done after every term event to give you a visual update on the progress of the DVD production. Imagine taking something like a school newspaper or school yearbook and transforming it into a digital yearbook, where photographs come alive, mixed with video footage in the same style and format as the school yearbook, except now it’s on DVD. This DVD package will consist of approximately 2-3 DVD’s depending on the amount of information. We are taking you from having a static memory of your child’s school career to a moving memory thereof.

To us, the teachers, it is important that your child must have the best time of their lives. Dit moet vir hulle die kersie op die koek wees, die lekkerste jaar van hulle skoolloopbaan tot dusver.
We want happy, balanced individuals. Please make sure that their extra-mural program is not too full so that they can cope with the demands of grade 7.
We will expect your child to manage his or her time carefully so that they are able to do an hour homework everyday.
In grade 7 we like to deal with things hands on. So as daar 'n probleem is sal ons u onmiddelik skakel of as u 'n probleem het nooi ons u uit om dadelik n afspraak met ons te maak of ons te skakel.
We at Kenridge encourage an attitude of openness among the teachers, parents and learners.
