PARENT INFORMATION EVENING

1. Files - all content subjects go in file.
2. Rubrics and check lists - learners will be informed as to what is expected from them.
3. Continuous assessment - a variety of marks and assessments are used for the report.
4. All assessments will be done in class, therefore parents may help their learners with homework tasks at home.
5. Orals - use the given rubric as a guide. Parents may help with the preparation.
6. Reading for homework - Learners must read for at least 30 minutes every day. 10 of those minutes must be read out loud to a parent.
7. Homework books - must be signed daily.
8. Homework book is the main medium of communication.
9. Unfinished work will be sent home to be completed.
10. If your child is absent or at music they must catch up in their own time.
11. Money must always be sent in a marked envelope.
12. Must have own stationery which must be marked. Please check regularly that your child has everything.
13. Healthy lunchbox and use the tuckshop as a treat.

OUERVERGADERING

1. Lêerstelsel - alle inhoudsvakke kom in 'n lêer
2. Matriks en kontrolelys - leerders weet wat van hulle verwag word.
3. Deurlopende assessering – alle punte word bereken vir die rapport.
4. Alle assessering word in die klas gedoen, dus mag ouers hul kinders help met hul huiswerk by die huis.
5. Mondeling – Gebruik matriks wat voorsien word, help met vertaling van inligting.
6. Lees vir huiswerk – leerders moet ten minste 30 min. elke aand lees.
7. Huiswerkboeke moet elke dag geteken word.
8. Onvoltooide werk word huis-toe gestuur.
9. Huiswerkboek is kommunikasie tussen ouers en onderwyser.
10. Geld moet in gemerkte koevert skool-toe gestuur word.
11. Eie skryfbehoeftes. Merk asb. alles.
12. Gesonde pouse kos en minder snoepie.
13. Huiswerk moet self ingehaal word as leerder siek is, of by musiek was.
